Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha blasts Royal Family as an ’embarrassment and cold’ and says if her dad dies it’s ‘Meg’s fault’
MEGHAN Markle's half-sister has said she will hold the Duchess "responsible" if their dad dies in the family's latest public spat.
Samantha Markle slammed the former actress' new family for her "cold" behaviour towards their father Thomas after it was revealed Meghan hadn't spoken to him in months.
It comes after Thomas Markle, 73, made repeated public pleas for his 36-year-old daughter to speak to him.
Meg's dad believes he has been shunned for almost two months for staging paparazzi snaps and speaking publicly about Meghan.
And Samantha leapt to her father's defence, writing on Twitter: "My father is not an embarrassment for loving his daughter! The Royals are an embarrassment for being so cold.
"You should be ashamed of yourselves."
And sharing news that Meghan had visited a tribute to Nelson Mandela's life, the American added: "How about you pay tribute to your own father?! Enough is enough.
"Act like a humanitarian act like a woman! If our father dies I’m holding you responsible, Meg!"
In another searing Tweet directed at Meghan, Samantha wrote: "Glad you have so much time to gallivant around paying tribute to others while ignoring your own father!
"How cold can you be and look in the mirror ? Harry? I guess I was right."
Tensions in the Markle family have continued to escalate after Meghan married into the Royal Family in May - with mother Doria the only family member attending the wedding.
Thomas Markle had been expected to walk his daughter down the aisle, but had to pull out last minute after suffering from a heart attack.
The 73-year-old had also been embarrassed after it was revealed a series of paparazzi shots - including ones of him exercising and being fitted for a suit - had been staged.
And while the newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan forgave him for the stunt, and phoned him the day after the wedding, he has not heard from them since.
The silence has coincided with an interview he gave about them to Good Morning Britain on June 18.
Thomas Markle said his daughter was no longer picking up on the number he had to contact her.
Opening up to The on Sunday, the dad revealed he was devastated he had been frozen out by the Royal Family.
He told The Sun on Sunday: “I had a heart attack, doesn’t anybody care? I could actually die soon.
"Does she want this to be the last thing we’ve said to each other?”
He added: “If I had one message for her it would be that I’m sorry for anything that went wrong.
"I’d like to put our differences behind us and get together.
"I just want to have a father-daughter relationship.
“I took care of my mother the last five years of her life.
"My daughter said to me she would take care of me in my declining years.
“I’m not talking about money — I’m talking about taking care of me.
"That’s important to me.”

He has since said he is considering coming to England in an attempt to make peace with Meghan.
Thomas added at his home in Rosarito, Mexico: “It’s sad that it’s got to this point. I’m sorry it’s come to this.
"Yes, some of it is my fault. But I’ve already made it clear that I’m paying for this for the rest of my life.”
