THE outspoken Republican Sheriff has hit the headlines once again - this time for being trapped into talking about sex acts.
But who is Joe Arpaio, what did he say about Donald Trump on Who Is America and what's his net worth? Here's the lowdown.
Who is Joe Arpaio?
Joe Arpaio is a former Arizona sheriff and a close ally of the US President.
The 86-year-old Republican announced early in 2018 that he is planning to run for the US Senate seat now held by Jeff Flake.
He has announced five times in the past he would run for Arizona governor but on each occasion decided against it.
Arpaio was spared a possible jail term in 2017 after Trump pardoned his conviction for disobeying a judge's order on an immigration case.
The Justice Department had ruled his policies exemplified the worst pattern of racial profiling in the whole of the US.
The self-described "Toughest Sheriff" in America is also known for investigating the birth certificate of US President Barack Obama and claiming it was forged.
What did he say about Donald Trump on Who Is America?
Arpaio was ridiculed on Sacha Baren Cohen's Showtime series Who Is America? as the comedian introduced a new character, the Finnish unboxing YouTube OMGWhizzBoyOMG.
The extraordinary interview in August 2018 shows him being tricked into admitting he "may have to say yes" if President Donald Trump offered him an "amazing blow job".
While unwrapping a Shopkins toy kit, the character also told Arpaio he had collected 43 guns for the "upcoming race war" and asked Arpaio to get Donald Trump to give him a "golden shower."
The ex-sheriff later told the he was told he was being interviewed by a famous journalist from Finland and endured the entire thing, despite the fact that the questions began to "zero in on sex," including "hand jobs" and "golden showers".
He only realised he'd been duped after seeing Sarah Palin had lashed out at the British comedian - after being tricked on his Showtime slot herself.
