Why was the Gloucester RFC star arrested?

Cipriani was allegedly on a pub crawl with other players after his club staged an open training session with Jersey Reds RFC.

He ended up in the Little Drift nightclub attached to The Royal Yacht spa hotel which overlooks St Helier’s harbour.

It is been reported that he then had a row with a bouncer over taking a drink outside.

Police were called and the star - given a ‘last warning’ over his behaviour by England coach Eddie Jones - was bundled into a cop car and spent the night in the cells before appearing in court at 10am this morning.

He admitted resisting arrest and assaulting a bouncer and was fined £2,000 at Jersey Magistrates' Court following the early-hours spat.
