POLICE will push to register a British hooker as a sex offender after she was booted out of the US for sleeping with a 14-year-old boy.
Sarah McGill, 28, was found guilty of lewd or lascivious battery, known as statutory rape in the UK, after she had sex with the teen in a Florida hotel room.
She dodged 15 years in jail after securing a sweetheart deal with prosecutors, instead receiving five years sex offender probation.
But police will apply to the Scottish courts to have McGill, who touted her services online under the alias Sophia Belle, placed on the sex offenders register.
While the force say they can't comment on individual cases, top brass say they will always apply for a notification order when someone has committed sex offences abroad.
Detective Chief Inspector Bob Paterson, of the National Offender Mangament Unit, said: "Where persons have been convicted of sexual offences outside the UK, which would have made them subject of the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 had they been convicted within the UK , police can apply to the UK Courts to seek to have a notification order granted.
"If granted this notification order makes the person subject of the notification requirements of the 2003 Act for such a period as sec 82 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 dictates.
"On receipt of information regarding a person who has been convicted of a sexual offence outside the UK coming to reside in Scotland or residing in Scotland, Police Scotland will always apply for notification order where the Sexual Offences Act 2003 allows."
The victim had found her profile on Quora.com which listed her under the name ‘Sophie Belle’ and texted her to set up the liaison for which he paid her $480 (£339) in $50 and $20 notes.
But boy’s dad found out what he had done and went back to the hotel where he called the police.
It later emerged that the boy had lost his virginity to McGill when they slept together.
In her police interview McGill admitted she had been travelling alone across the US but claimed she was sightseeing.
When it was put to her that she is a prostitute who is paid hundreds of dollars an hour to sleep with men, she said "there is truth in that".
McGill sobbed during the two hour interview and said that "I swear I didn’t know" the boy was 18.
She said: “I wish that I never took him upstairs. I feel like such an idiot.”
In his police interview the victim said he felt "guilty" about sleeping with McGill and said that he only wanted to "spice up" his sex life because he was still a virgin and felt under peer pressure to do it.
The boy said that he gave McGill the money as a ‘donation’ and that he wore a condom.
Before she was nicked, McGill lived a double life as an international escort taking £2,000 “donations” a night.
Earlier it was reported that she touted for work online as ‘Sophia Belle’ and used a series of saucy snaps to tempt punters with her “sublime body”.
McGill – who lists her bra measurements as 34B, dress size 6-8 – offers the “perfect girlfriend experience”.
It comes as a former girlfriend accused her of being a sex addict aged 16.
