BOJO'S DIVORCE BILL

Boris Johnson set to split £6.5m fortune with wife Marina equally in divorce – including Islington townhouse and Oxfordshire estate

BORIS Johnson is set to split his £6.5million fortune equally with his wife Marina in their divorce despite his numerous infidelities.

The ex-Foreign Secretary and his high-flying lawyer wife Marina Wheeler could avoid an acrimonious end to their 25-year marriage, legal experts have suggested.

Boris Johnson leaves home after announcing divorce from wife Marina Wheeler after 25 years of marriage

The Sun revealed Marina, 54, had booted Boris out and they'd been living separately for several months before the couple confirmed the split publicly on Thursday.

Their 25-year marriage was marked by a string of cheating scandals, and Boris was chucked out twice after affairs in 2004 and 2009.

But it is understood that the former London Mayor's philandering past won't have have any impact on the divorce settlement.

The couple own an Islington townhouse worth £4m and a £1m country home in Oxfordshire, while Mr Johnson himself has an estimated personal wealth of at least £1.5m.

Boris Johnson booted out by wife Marina after she accused him of cheating AGAIN

Divorce expert David Leadercramer, a partner at law firm DMH Stallard, told the : 'If the assets total £6.5 million then Marina would look at getting half.

"If £3.25million gave her enough for a home and to meet her day to day needs then she would not usually look for maintenance in addition.

"They would simply divide assets equally on what is known as a clean break."

Mr Leadercramer said: "In order to bring in conduct it has to be exceptional, such as trying to kill the other spouse, but serial adulterers are not made to pay in that sense for their "misdeeds".

"I have little or no doubt that in this case his conduct won't affect the financial issues at all."

The Tory MP has four children with Marina Wheeler and a daughter from his affair with Helen MacIntyre.

In law children require financial support if they are in full time education or under 25 and not working.

Boris’ daughter has claimed wife Marina “will never take him back”.

Fashion journalist Lara, 25, is understood to have been overheard exploding with rage at her philandering dad.

She is said to have told pals at a party he “is a selfish bastard”.

And she insisted to one friend: “Mum is finished with him. She will never take him back now.”

She was seen with her dad Boris last night at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End not long after her sparring words were revealed.

But in a sign that Lara’s anger with Boris may recently have cooled, he took his four children to his father Stanley’s holiday villa on Greece’s Pelion peninsula last week — without Marina.
