BORIS Johnson has accused Prime Minister Theresa May of wrapping a "suicide vest" around Britain and handing the detonator to Brussels.
In a scathing editorial in Johnson condemned what he called "feeble" attempts to negotiate.
He also branded her Chequers deal "pathetic" and the Government's relationship with the EU as "semi-masochistic".
The tirade could be the first foray as Johnson prepares for a potential leadership bid, as he demands May take a more aggressive stance in Brexit negotiations.
He has blasted the PM after she promised Northern Ireland would remain in the customs union and Single Market is a solution to the border issue cannot be found.
Boris said of chief EU negotiator Michel Barnier: "We have given him a jemmy with which Brussels can choose - at any time - to crack apart the Union between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
"In a weird semi-masochistic way we have created the means by which the EU can bully us.
"We have conspired in this threat to the Union. We have put our own heads deliberately on the block."
It comes as The Sun revealed the blonde ex-Tory aide BoJo has grown close to since his marriage hit the rocks.
Meanwhile, reports the Tory party has been plunged into a bitter civil war over claims May's aides drew up a dossier on his sex life in a bid to stop him from becoming Prime Minister.
The 4,000-word "war book" is said to be written during the Conservative election in 2016 when Johnson was seen as her fiercest rival.
It supposedly contains details about Johnson's previous affairs and political fumbles and was designed to puncture any leadership bid.
It was not used because his campaign imploded.

The current Tory leadership furiously denied any role in updating or distributing the document.
A Downing Street source reportedly said it was "absolutely ridiculous to suggest that this has anything to do with the current administration".
The source added: "It is more than two years old and has neither been updated nor distributed.’
