Magaluf stabbing – Horrifying pictures show Scot’s gaping wounds after he was ‘stabbed six times by an Englishman’ in party resort
Andrew Mulholland said he followed a trail of blood back to his brother's Spanish hotel room where he found the lad 'out cold'
HOLIDAY attack victim Robert Watson lies unconscious in his blood-soaked hotel room moments after being stabbed in Magaluf.
The horror snap shows a cop battling to stem the flow from Robert’s life-threatening knife wounds after being called to the scene by his frantic brother Andrew Mulholland.
Andrew, 20, told how he feared the worst as he then followed him as he fled injured to the room.
He said: “As I was running upstairs I could see the blood trail.
“I ran into the hotel room and I could see Robert passed out, unconscious. I got a massive fright — I thought he had died.
“I got down and checked his breathing and could see the stab wound near his liver. I started pressing his chest and shouting for him to wake up. I gave him a few slaps on the face.”
Andrew added: “He eventually started to come round so I sprinted downstairs and called the police and an ambulance.”
He told cops probing the murder bid that he witnessed two men plunging blades into Robert which left him with six wounds to his back, belly and buttocks.
Andrew, of Saltcoats, Ayrshire, and Robert, 30, from Ardrossan, were on a five-day break to the Spanish party island when they were attacked by a gang of Brits following a rammy in the resort.
Andrew added: “Both myself and Robert gave statements to the police. They were round the hotel room every day to check on us and get more information.
“We had to travel to Palma to go to court and give statements in front of a judge and panel of five people.
"I told them I saw two guys stabbing Robert in the front and back with what looked like steak knives.”
Other images taken show the extent of the brutality Robert went through — gaping wounds on the brickie’s bum remained open until he returned home for treatment, three days after Sunday’s
ordeal.
