A GRANDAD was left "mortified" after a soft toy he bought for his granddaughter's third birthday turned out to be a novelty penis.
Angus Graham, 71, thought the X-rated "c**k in a box" adult toy was a pop-up rabbit and posted it to innocent Neve.
Hilarious video shows the excited tot opening the wooden box - which says "From a special friend" on the lid - and her delighted reaction when the cute pink "bunny" rears its head.
But mum Lynsey, from East Sussex, realised it was actually a willy with googly eyes and a nose.
She said: "Neve was opening her presents excitedly and I happened to be filming it so we could send the video to her grandad.
"She opened the box and there it was — a pop-up c**k!
"To be honest, I knew instantly what had happened and I burst out laughing.
"She's only three and had no idea what was going on. She calls it her 'funny Jack-in-the-Box' now."
Angus had bought the naughty hen-do gift at a shop near his home in the Shetlands thinking it was a child's toy.
He was embarrassed when Lynsey and her husband Peter called to explain and demanded they take the rude toy off her.
But it proved a hit with little Neve so her mum was forced to hide it and tell her it was lost.
Lynsey said: "Her grandad obviously thought he'd found a really cute pink toy that she would love. He didn't grasp that it wasn't a rabbit.
"After she opened it, all the other presents went out of the window and that's all she wanted to play with.
"She keeps asking for it all the time. I've had to say I don't know where it's gone and that it's lost.
"I couldn't take it away until she went to bed and I was laughing every time she opened it.
"That night I couldn't tell Angus the story properly because I was laughing so much.
"He was mortified. He was like, 'She can't play with it. I can't believe I sent her that!'"
She said Angus and his wife Hazel had no idea what it was supposed to be when he bought it from his local gift shop.
Lynsey has stored the toy away and vowed to bring it out on Neve's 18th birthday.
She said: "I can't wait to tell her about the time her grandad Angus bought her a c**k-in-a-box for her birthday.
"It's just a really funny mistake that I'll never let him forget."
