Kent bloke reveals image of JESUS that appeared in his living room CURTAIN

The sighting of the curtain Christ is the latest in a long list of the lord moving in mysterious ways

Jesus Face

A KENT bloke claims to have seen the face of Jesus in his CURTAINS.

The shocked photographer took a snap of the divine apparition when he spotted it in his front room earlier this month.

The Christ-bearing curtains seem to show the outline of Jesus' eyes, nose, beard and hair.

The snapper, who does not wish to be named, said: "It’s a process of my work to see a different perspective on the ordinary.

"The face of Jesus developing in the shadows of my curtain was a welcome sight in the afternoon light, and oddly reassuring."

This is not the first time that Jesus' face has been sighted by shocked believers.

Some say that the Turin Shroud, on display in the Cathedral of St John the Baptist in northern Italy, shows the face of Christ in its cloth.

Others believe that images captured by the Hubble Telescope of the Cone Nebula show Jesus praying in the heavens.

Pilgrims have also made trips to a stained window in Clearwater, Florida, which vaguely resembled the Virgin Mary, and an Irish family recently claim to have been .

Catholic popes have even approved of devotion to certain holy faces throughout the ages, with The Feast of the Holy Face of Jesus being an annual celebration in the religion.

Where has Jesus been seen?

Sightings of holy face have cropped up in all kinds of unusual places throughout the ages.

The most famous example is the Turin Shroud, believed to be the cloth that Jesus was wrapped in after he was crucified.

Just before Christmas in 1996, a stain on a glass window in Clearwater, Florida became known as 'The Clearwater Virgin' because of its resemblance to the Virgin Mary, which thousands of pilgrims visited before it was vandalised.

And a southern California diner - The Cowgirl Cafe - made headlines with a photo of Jesus' face miraculously appearing in a pancake in 2014.

Christ has also been spotted in bird poo, an MRI of a man's heart, and several frying pans.

Not to mention the countless times he's appeared in toast.

Miraculous icons bearing the faces of Jesus or the Virgin Mary are known as "acheiropoieta", meaning "icons made without hands".

These are images which are approved of by Christians as authentically showing the holy figures.

Famous examples of such icons include the Image of Edessa and the Veil of Veronica.

But as well as those with the seal of Christian approval, there are plenty of less well-attested examples of Jesus' face appearing in odd objects including buildings, rocks, and food.

The scientific explanation for many of the sightings people claim to have had of Jesus is due to a phenomenon called "pareidolia".

Pareidolia describes the brain's over-sensitivity to finding patterns in completely random information, such that faces can sometimes be seen on inanimate objects.
