West Ham park rape – broad daylight sex attack on teenage girl in East London as police hunt man

A TEENAGE girl was raped in a park in East London in a horror broad daylight sex attack.
The victim, whose age has not been released, was attacked close to the entrance of the park at around 4pm on Tuesday.
Cops are now hunting a suspect, with officers combing the park for clues.
The park, which is managed by the City of London Corporation, has been closed since the attack.
Cops confirmed there have been no arrests and are appealing for witnesses.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command are investigating the rape of a teenager in West Ham Park.

"The female victim was attacked by a man in the park close to the entrance opposite Fairland Road, E7, at around 16:00hrs on Tuesday, 18 September."
West Ham Park dates back to the 16th Century and is the largest green space in Newham.
A City of London Corporation spokeswoman said: “We are assisting the police in their enquiries and the park will be open to the public as soon as possible.”
