You get to the supermarket, reach for your change and realise that golden pound coin needed for the trolley is nowhere to be seen.
But those frustrating days could be over thanks to a genius hack by a savvy shopper.
Usama Shamsan has discovered that by placing two 20p pieces on top of each other, you can trick a trolley's money mechanism into thinking you’ve inserted a pound.
He posted a video of his supermarket hack on social media with the caption: “When it’s hard times and you don’t have a pound."
The video racked up nearly 3,000 likes and was shared a whopping 66,00 times.
Shoppers were impressed by financial flair, with many taking to Facebook to gush about the "genius" hack.

Supermarkets use £1-coin trolley locks to stop them rolling away as well as being pinched by vandals and thieves.
More than a million trolleys were stolen from UK retailers last year – costing British firms an incredible £35M.
Essex topped the list for most abandoned trolleys with 40,653 abandoned in the county in 2017, reports.
According to industry experts Trolleywise, Britain has the “highest level of trolley loss in the world.”
