When and where is it?

The event runs from Sunday, September 30 until Wednesday, October 3.

The conference is taking place in Birmingham at the International Convention Centre (ICC Birmingham).

When was Theresa May’s speech?

The Prime Minister gave her keynote address on the final day of the event (October 3).

Philip Hammond, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, delivered his speech on Monday, October 1.

Mrs May's speech will come the day after her Brexit nemesis Boris Johnson addressed an event where he blasted May's Chequers plan and provided an alternative leader's speech.

The 'Chuck Chequers' rally has been one of the most-talked about events of the conference and Westminster watchers will be awaiting any sign Boris might move to dethrone his former boss.

What else was on the agenda for the party conference?

On Monday, October 1, attendees attended a session on An Economy That Works for Everyone in the morning from 10am until 12.30pm featuring the Secretaries of State for Work and Pensions, Transport, Exiting the European Union Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

From 2pm until 4.40pm, a session was held on the Opportunity for Future Generations with the Secretaries of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the Leaders of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.

Tuesday, October 2 saw A Stronger, Fairer United Kingdom with the Secretaries of State for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Minister for the Cabinet Office, the Lord Chancellor and Secretaries of State for Justice and Home Department.

From 2pm to 4.30pm, a session was held on High Quality Public Services with the Secretaries of State for Health and Social Care and Education, as well as the Mayors of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Tees Valley, West of England, and West Midlands.

The party conference concluded on Wednesday, October 3, with Prime Minister Theresa May's speech.

What is the Alternative Party Conference?

Tory Brexiteers, including some MPs, have set up a rival two-day event which will take place 10 miles away from the main conference in Birmingham.

One official behind the Alternative Party Conference said that the main event is "no longer for Conservatives", reports .

The maverick event will run on October 1 to 2.

Speakers will include former international development secretary Priti Patel, veteran Brexiteer Sir Bill Cash and former Ukip MEP Steven Woolfe.
