Olympic sprint star Linford Christie’s son jailed for dealing drugs

The 33-year-old has been jailed for four years after cops found £1,410 worth of drugs in his flat in West London

OLYMPICS sprint star Linford Christie’s son has been jailed for four years for dealing drugs.

Liam Oliver-Christie, 33, admitted possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Cops found drugs with a £1,410 street value at his council flat in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, Isleworth crown court heard.

He was due to stand trial next month but instead changed his plea to guilty on two counts of possession of cocaine and diamorphine with intent to supply.

Judge Giles Curtis-Raleigh sentenced him to four years for each of the charges to be served concurrently.

Oliver-Christie got a suspended two-month drugs term in 2015.

He also has a previous burglary conviction from November 2002.

His father was the toast of British athletics for a decade after sprinting to victory at the Barcelona Games in 1992 and later glory at the World, Commonwealth and European 100m.
