Jeremy Corbyn is desperate to overturn Brexit and betray working class Leave voters

Labour is now controlled by its middle-class London Remainer membership, all desperate to overturn or negate Brexit

ANY idiot can make a Brexit deal with Brussels - all it takes is abject surrender, the Jeremy Corbyn strategy.

If selling out Leave voters doesn’t bother you then yes, Michel Barnier and Martin Selmayr — the German bully running the show — will delightedly hear how you intend to achieve it.

Which explains why they were so keen to give him an audience yesterday.

Betrayal is very much in Corbyn’s plans, as he made clear at his conference.

Not only because his party is now firmly behind a second referendum with “Remain” as one of the options.

But because he is also determined to stay in the EU’s Customs Union — and thus not leave at all.

So, in the unthinkable event of a Labour Government seeing Brexit through, it would do so not via tough negotiations.

It would be done by immediate capitulation to Brussels’ demands that the world’s fifth biggest economy remain forever under their control.

We would be barred in perpetuity from signing trade deals with the faster-growing giant economies of the wider world — and the central economic case for Brexit would be destroyed.

So while Corbyn now suddenly claims to care for the forgotten working-class communities who backed Leave, they must never forget this: Labour is now controlled by its middle-class London Remainer membership, all desperate to overturn or negate Brexit.

Justice swerved

WE’LL be blunt, Becks.

It is repugnant to see a celebrity smugly dodge justice solely thanks to being rich enough for a fancy lawyer skilled at exploiting loopholes.

Especially when that star freely admits doing 59mph in a 40 zone.

Millions of ordinary people grimly suck up fines they can ill afford for far lesser speeding offences.

Even if their prosecution letter arrives a day late.

Beckham may be within the letter of the law, but not its spirit.

That’s a bad look for a man desperate for public adulation and establishment approval.

Knighthood? It’s crashed and burned.

A Tory story

WE hope the poll revealing voters in marginal seats deserting the Tories over sky-high rents is enough to stir the Government from its paralysis.

The Tories are consumed by Brexit.

But away from that they must wake up and present radical ideas to beat Corbyn’s, especially on housing.

They have an advantage.

Theirs are more likely to be sane.

And vanishingly less likely to put hundreds of thousands on the dole.

But Theresa May must realise that voters have more pressing problems than Brexit which could cost her power.

Next week the Tories must have a new story to tell.
