YOUTUBE star PeeWeeToms has died of a rare terminal cancer – just weeks after marrying his sweetheart.
Dan Thomas, 32, was diagnosed with sarcomatoid carcinoma in 2015 and started vlogging about his battle with the disease.
In his clips he would tell his 150,000 loyal followers “don’t give up, don’t give in” and his online videos inspired thousands of people because he was so honest and open about his condition.
But his heartbroken family confirmed the devastating news that he passed away and it comes just weeks after he tied the knot with his fiancé Becca.
Dan, from Dudley, West Mids, announced the pair got married in Weston-super-Mare and revealed the wedding cost less than £1,000 and was organised in 24 hours.
In a poignant YouTube post on Friday, his mum said: “Here we are, all the family gathered together with some very sad news but in some ways for Dan a relief and he’s out of pain and suffering.
"At 12.35pm this afternoon, he passed away and we just wanted to let everybody know that news.
"Thank you for your support over this time and I hope it will continue.
"I hope it has helped you. It’s helped us as well as a family, certainly this last week. Bless you all. We want to celebrate Dan's life and all he meant to us as a family.
"[He was a] much-loved son, a much-loved brother, a much-loved husband and a much-loved daddy to the pussy cat."
His younger brother Matt added: "We really want to thank you, our entire family, Becca included – you’ve been so supportive of Dan's journey and we know how much he’s helped all of you as well.
"Honestly words can’t express how we feel right now but I hope we can continue our journey with you."
His dad added: "It's been amazing with the messages we've received from people he's helped, people who've reconsidered taking their own lives.
"It’s difficult to get the right words out at the minute. Between us, we want to keep encouraging you to keep going, whatever place you’re at.
"That’s what Dan would do and that's what he did. If he’s got a legacy, I’d say that’s probably it. Just keep going, do what you can do and enjoy every minute of it because he did."
The video was posted on Dan's account and has since been viewed more than 270,000 times.
