Meghan Markle pregnant – new royal baby is due in Spring
MEGHAN Markle is pregnant with her first child at the age of 37.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the news this morning and they are expecting a baby in Spring next year.
It comes almost five months after the pair tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
Kensington Palace tweeted today: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.
"Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."
Just last week rumours swirled that Meghan was pregnant after she appeared at Princess Eugenie's wedding wearing a long, loose-fitting coat.
Prince Harry and Meghan touched down this morning in Sydney for the first leg of their 16-day tour of Australia and the South Pacific.
The pair held hands and smiled as they arrived Down Under, accompanied by a ten-man entourage for their first international tour as a couple.
But Meghan sparked a flurry of pregnancy rumours ahead of the announcement, clutching purple folders in front of her stomach as she walked hand in hand with her husband.
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be "delighted" for the couple.
