Ex-soldier and Tory MP Mark Francois was among a group who delivered the message to 10 Downing Street yesterday.

It follows outrage over potential legal action against soldiers for events linked to the Troubles.

The letter asked the government to “put in place a lasting legal protection for our Armed Services and Security Personnel, wherever and whenever they serve”.

MPs shouldn’t have to march on Downing Street to end the witch-hunt against Northern Ireland veterans.

The disgraceful pursuit must stop.
