Who is Joan Celia Lee?

Born in New York City in April 1950, Joan Celia was called JC by her friends and family.

The actress broke the news of her dad’s death to TMZ on November 12, 2018.

Joan had a sister named Jan Lee who sadly died three days after being born in 1953.

She was inspired by her father and worked closely with him at Marvel Studios watching him work on his creations such as Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk.

JC was left to handle her father’s finances after her mother Joan B. Lee died in 2017.

What are her acting credits?

Aside from working as an artist, Joan also appeared in small roles in movies and television shows.

Her screen debut was in 1963 film The Cool World centering on a gang in Harlem.

She later voiced a robot in the 1994 Iron Man animated series.

JC had a small role in the 1990 thriller The Ambulance starring James Earl Jones and Eric Roberts.

Last year she helped create the Super Kids mobile application which helps develop children’s literacy skills.

All the proceeds from the app go to charities.

What were the accusations against her?

In April 2017, Stan Lee’s former business manager Bradley J. Herman accused Joan of verbally abusing her parents.

He also alleged that on at least one occasion she physically abused them.

Herman told that he saw Joan push her mother before grabbing her famous father by the neck and shoving his head back against his wheelchair.

Joan Celia and Stan Lee both strongly denied the accusations.

JC told the : “As long as I’ve lived, I have never touched my mother, my father, or a dog. Never.

“How that ever happened… between us, my mother was very ill. She was on major drugs and drink for the pain.

“And she didn’t make it really easy. And people said things. Nothing was touched. And she was a little off, to say the least.

“And these people from this cult or whatever, were trying to get everything. Ask me how much they did get.”

Stan firmly quashed the allegations against his daughter, saying: “I mean, she’s my daughter. I’m her father. Sometimes we may disagree about something, but we disagree on things like I did with my wife.

“I wish that everyone would be as abusive to me as JC.”

Joan’s lawyer Kirk Schenck said that “multiple men” had tried to gain influence over Stan’s business affairs in his final years.

He said: “He was the creative type who preferred to delegate the management of the family’s money.

“Since her mother’s death, JC has had to operate alone to combat multiple men who descended on Stan in an effort to attach themselves to Stan and his various businesses and to manage his affairs.”
