Horror as woman, 25, is left in a coma after ‘minor’ nose job goes horribly wrong
Karolina Sarkisyan began hallucinating following her surgery at a Moscow clinic before her body swelled up and she slipped into a coma
A YOUNG Russian woman is in a coma fighting for her life following a “minor’ nose job.
Karolina Sarkisyan, 25, developed swelling all over her body and suffered respiratory failure following the surgery at a Moscow clinic.
She then slipped into a coma and is in a “grave” condition after defying her family’s wishes by having the cosmetic procedure.
Doctors have blamed Karolina’s deteriorating health on an allergic reaction to the drugs she was given.
Her tearful mother Marina Sarkisyan said: “She is so beautiful. She is a stunner. She didn’t need to do any plastic surgery.”
After waking from the surgery Karolina “started hallucinating” before suffering from respiratory failure and swelling all over her body.
Her lungs also filled with fluid.
Marina said her daughter was given a variety of drugs following the “minor” procedure.
She said: “Early in the morning the anaesthetist came. I described what happened and asked why the nurse gave so many pills.
“He said it was his prescription after the surgery.”
The distraught mother says she blames herself, adding: “I will never forgive myself for letting her do this surgery.
