Prince Harry ‘fell out’ with William for ‘not rolling the red carpet out for Meghan’
The source claimed Harry believed William wasn't making an effort to welcome then-fiancee Meghan into the royal family following their engagement
PRINCE Harry fell out with his older brother after Prince William did not "roll out the red carpet" for Meghan, a mutual friend has claimed.
The comments follow reported tensions between the Cambridges and Sussexes as Prince Harry and Meghan are set to re-locate to Frogmore Cottage.
The insider claimed to that Harry, 34, believed William, 36, wasn't making an effort to welcome Meghan into the royal family following their engagement.
The source said: "Harry felt William wasn’t rolling out the red carpet for Meghan and told him so.
"They had a bit of a fall out which was only resolved when Charles stepped in and asked William to make an effort. That’s when the Cambridges invited the Sussexes to spend Christmas with them."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stayed at Anmer Hall, Norfolk, last Christmas, and joined the Queen and the rest of the royal family at nearby Sandringham for Christmas Day.
The source went on to say Kate and Meghan were very different people and don’t have a lot in common but they have made an effort to get along, and any issues are between the brothers.
Earlier this week we exclusively revealed the Sussexes are set to leave Kensington Palace.
Kensington Palace have been approached for comment on the report.
An insider told the : 'The idea of the two of them as 'the boys', the brothers doing everything together and living in each other's pockets, has been pushed with good intentions, but hasn't really existed for some time.
The insider said the pair had been growing apart, and despite being closer than most siblings Harry was "stepping back".
"Harry has married and is about to become a father, so it's a good time for him to be planning his own future. There is no acrimony."
