The Snapchat video shows the woman, who wears a hoodie on her top half, lying on top of the man as fellow students walk past them towards a nearby stairwell.
According to the person filming, the footage was taken on the “lower ground of Appleton” – a tower block owned by the University of Edinburgh.
One user on Twitter reposted the clip, writing in the caption that he "couldn't believe" this had just happened at his university.
