Meghan Markle could give birth at HOME as it’s revealed she’s ‘reading up’ on hypnobirthing
PREGNANT Meghan Markle could break with tradition and give birth at home, it has been claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex is even researching "hypnobirthing" as her due date in Spring approaches.
According to , she and Prince Harry want a different experience for their baby, and were looking at "options".
And the 37-year-old's mum Doria Ragland - who is said to be moving to the UK to be closer to her future grandchild - has played a big hand in Meghan's birth plans.
A source claimed to the magazine: "(Doria) wants to be on hand to help Meghan and Harry with the baby.
"Doria will be involved and if she’s involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth."
Meghan, who has previously revealed her passion for yoga, is also said to be researching natural-birthing techniques.
The former US actress and Prince Harry are said to be excitedly gearing up for the arrival of their first child together.
The couple - who married in May - are reportedly drawing up plans for a nursery at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
They are expected to be moving from London to the new home in time for their baby's birth.
Part of the renovations to the estate could also include a luxury "granny flat" for Doria Ragland.
Should Meghan choose a home birth, it will be a break in tradition for the Royal Family.
Kate Middleton has given birth to all three of her children at the £7,500 a night Lindo Wing at St Mary's hospital in London.
She was also rumoured to have used hypnobirthing during the arrival of her third child, Prince Louis.
Hypnobirthing is described as a mindfulness practice that helps to alleviate any stress or discomfort.
Fans of hypnobirthing say that staying calm stops your body going into a panicky "fight-or-flight mode", enabling you to focus your energy on a faster, easier labour.
It’s also thought staying calm helps your body release hormones like oxytocin - which encourages contractions - and endorphins, which numb pain and help you feel good.
Princess Diana also gave birth to both Princes William and Harry at the luxury hospital.
Kate's sister Pippa Middleton also welcomed baby Arthur at the maternity unit earlier this year.
The Duchess of Sussex's official due date has not been announced, however, Kensington Palace announced the couple would welcome their baby in the spring of 2019.
The build up for Meghan and Harry's first child came before claims the future mum had clashed with Kate Middleton.
Sources claimed the Duchess of Cambridge told Meghan not to berate members of her team at Kensington Palace.
The source explained: “Her and Kate fell out when she b******ed Kate’s staff.
“It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach."
The row, which has been denied by the Palace, comes after we revealed the Duchess of Sussex made Kate cry over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress.
