The dad of one revealed his continued love of bargain hunting as he served up Christmas dinner to RAF veterans with wife Lesley, 57, and other lotto winners.
Fred, of Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, said: “It’s hard to get out of the mindset of being frugal after all these years.
“Subtle changes have happened, like the car you can get. But when I got my six series BMW I negotiated and got £33,000 off.”

Former bank worker Lesley revealed they’ve also splashed their cash on posh bed linen — and said they’d decided to go out for Christmas lunch this year.

Lesley added: “Meeting others has been great, they’re all normal like us.”
Fred told earlier this month how he - but is terrified he'll win again.
