‘NO EVIDENCE’

Dog the Bounty Hunter WON’T face assault charges against teen who abused him and his cancer-stricken wife Beth at Denver airport

DOG the Bounty Hunter will not face assault charges levelled against him by a teen and his father after an incident at Denver Airport.

Denver's District Attorney's Office told People magazine: “We are not going forward with the case because it was primarily civil in nature and there was no reasonable likelihood of conviction on any state crime."

The incident culminated with the teenage boy and his dad verbally abusing the TV star and his cancer-stricken wife.

The reality TV star's lawyer Andrew Brettle told the news outlet:  “We’re grateful to the Denver PD and City Attorney for investigating the matter and recognizing that Duane was innocent. His focus continues to be on Beth’s health and recovery."

Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, subsequently reported the pair to the police for harassment.

The man and his 17-year-old son told police the star assaulted the teen fan after he asked for a photo, but a lawyer for the reality star says CCTV footage shows otherwise.

Footage released from the airport shows Dog pushing his wheelchair-bound wife into an elevator, accompanied by a Denver Airport handler with their bags, as the man and his son shoot abuse.

The father is heard to shout: “You put your hands on my son,” and “Dog the Bounty Hunter putting his hands on a f******g juvenile”.

Brettler said Chapman was simply trying to fly back home to Colorado after the mother-of-four underwent surgery to remove a throat blockage in Los Angeles.

Tests would reveal Beth's throat cancer had returned.

“He insulted Dog and Beth, hurled racial slurs at Dog, and threatened to 'cut' Beth if she could 'get out of her wheelchair.'

He said the man and wife attempted to distance themselves, but were followed.
