Samantha Markle claims Meghan didn’t call dad Thomas LAST Christmas – before royal wedding ‘family feud’

SAMANTHA Markle has claimed her sister Meghan missed calling their dad for Christmas for the second time in a row.

The 53-year-old today revealed the Duchess of Sussex's estrangement from 74-year-old Thomas had been ongoing before even he pulled out of attending her fairytale wedding to Prince Harry.

Taking to Twitter, Samantha wrote: "My life is great and after having a heart attack the wedding and now two Christmases she does not even call him. Humanitarian my a**."

And she retracted her Christmas message to Meghan, 37, adding: "I retract the merry Christmas, you don’t deserve it. How dare you walk into a church."

It's just another chapter in the Markle family's drama that has unfolded in the public eye since Meghan married into the Royal Family.

Thomas Markle had been expected to walk Meghan down the aisle at St George's chapel in Windsor in May, but pulled out due to health concerns.

The decision not to attend his daughter's wedding came just days after it was revealed photographs taken of him preparing for the big day - including shots of him being fitted for a suit and working out - had been staged.

Meghan has not spoken to her dad since marrying Prince Harry - with Thomas even finding out she was pregnant in a radio announcement.

In a Christmas card, Samantha Markle begged Meghan to heal the rift with their father, saying Thomas was "very hurt" that she was avoiding him.

But Samantha later wrote on Twitter that her sister had been "rude", adding: "I’ve never seen anyone so rude and hurtful and heartless and absent a soul in my life. #MeghanMarkle #SamanthaMarkle shame on you for what you have done to our father. No PR machine can fix this."

She added: "Forgiven, reunite, and have the Christmas spirit and a peaceful heart?

"Apparently you’re not capable and I don’t know enough profane words to articulate how I feel. Wow".

Thomas Markle spent Christmas Day handing out food and toys to homeless kids, 5,000 miles from his daughter.

But he has previously revealed he has held out hope he will reunite with his daughter and meet his future grandchild, due in Spring next year.

The former American actress has had a whirlwind year - marrying Prince Harry in May before the couple they would become parents.

But Meghan's family drama has seen goodwill with the public slide a royal author has claimed.

Penny Junor warned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had lost some of their popularity since their May wedding.

She put it down to Meghan's ongoing rift with her father, with 74-year-old Thomas Markle recently revealing he had been texting his daughter everyday - with no reply.

Junor told the Press Association: "I think it has been a mixed year for Harry and Meghan.

"They seem to have lost some of the goodwill and admiration that was so wholehearted when they married, and Meghan's failure to sort things out with her father has been a huge mistake, in my view.

"We obviously don't know the truth about her relationship with him - it seems beyond extraordinary that Harry has never met him - but having him give interviews in which he says that she hasn't spoken to him or made contact with him since the wedding is incredibly damaging."

And she said speculation that the 37-year-old's rumoured rift with Kate Middleton also hadn't helped.

It has been suggested that Meghan was involved in a "ghastly row"; with the Duchess of Cambridge, with Kate rumoured to have been brought to tears during her brother-in-law's wedding preparations.

Prince Harry, 34, moving to Frogmore Cottage next year with Meghan also hasn't helped the speculation there is tension between the couples.

Junor added: "The more the press write negative things, the less charming Harry is prepared to be and so the more negative the stories.

"It is all very sad because Harry and Meghan are a great double act."

Kensington Palace declined to comment.
