Devastated boyfriend’s heartbreaking tribute to ‘beautiful’ student, 18, killed in house fire

THE heartbroken boyfriend of a student killed in a house fire in has paid an emotional tribute to his “beautiful” girlfriend.
Distraught Alistair Innes posted the poignant message on social media after tragic Natalie Merry, 18, was killed in the horror flat blaze.
In the post, Alistair describes the two years he spent with Natalie as the “best of his life”.
And he says he'll miss her "beautiful wee face" every day.
The heartfelt post said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken, had the happiest and best 2 years of my life, she made me so happy, gonna miss waking up to her beautiful wee face everyday. Love you so much Natalie.”
Emergency services raced to tackle the fire on York Street after the alarm was raised around 8.20pm on Sunday night.
Neighbours told how Natalie’s mum Jennifer urged rescuers to save her daughter as she was treated at the scene.
Angus Munro said: "I heard her shouting that her daughter was still in the house.
"There was a heavy, heavy reek and thick black smoke was pouring from the roof."
Friends and family of the tragic teen have taken to social media to pay tribute.
Pam Ryan said: “I’m so sorry Ali. Natalie was such a lovely beautiful girl. She spoke about you all the time and you could tell she loved you so much. She will be missed so much. Thoughts with you all.”
Kate Alexander said: “I’m so sorry Ali, she loved you so much will be remembered forever, what an angel.”
Katie Mathieson posted: “You made her so happy Ali. Brightest star in the sky. I love her so much.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said a post-mortem examination would be held to establish the teenager's exact cause of death.
They added: "Her family have been made aware. The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and a joint investigation has been launched to establish the circumstances."
