ISIS extremists have been urged to kill Kate Middleton by poisoning the food she eats from supermarkets.

The sickening call was made in a message on the encrypted Telegram site which urged fanatics to tamper with the food she buys, according to the .

Pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, shopping were shown with a red X placed on her trolley and sickening messages.

Kate’s son Prince George was also targeted by the extremists.

Users of the website also shared information about where Kate shopped.

The threat was being taken “very seriously".

The unnamed source said: “Intelligence agents believe the threats made against Kate are not idle and are linked to messages sent by Husnain Rashid.

“It’s a disgusting plot as it involves Kate’s young children, and hits out at her attempt to live a normal life like any mother wants to.”

They added: “This is not run of the mill Twitter trolling. They are messages that are exchanged globally between jihadis that are often erased very quickly detailing attack plans.”

The Telegram website was used by the Islamic State supporter Husnain Rashid who called for supporters to kill Prince George.

Rashid, 32, is now serving at least 25 years for his part in the plot at Manchester’s Strangeways prison.
