Raised in Sumner, Nebraska, and Casper, Wyoming, Cheney went to Yale University and then the University of Wyoming, where he received his Bachelor's degree before moving on to obtain his Master's degree in political science at the University of Wisconsin.
He began his political career in the White House under former President and former President Gerald Ford and served as the Chief of Staff from 1975-1977.
From March 1989 to January 1993, Cheney directed two impactful military campaigns - Operation Just Cause in Panama and Operation Desert Storm in the Middle East.
Operation Just Cause was an invasion of Panama to remove General Manuel Noreiga from power. He was then extradited to the US for drug trafficking and money laundering charges.

She is running for re-election but has been ostracized from the Republican party for leading the committee and has been strongly criticised by Trump loyalists and has been called a RINO (Republican In Name Only).
She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 and later was elevated to the third-ranking Republican in the House but was removed from her position as chair of the House Republican Conference on May 12, 2021.

“He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him."
He continued: “He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters.
"He lost his election and he lost big. I know it, he knows it, and deep down, I think most Republicans know it.
“Lynne and I are so proud of Liz for standing up for the truth, doing what’s right, honoring her oath to the Constitution when so many in our party are too scared to do so."
Dick addressed his daughter's tenacity in the ad, saying: “Liz is fearless. She never backs down from a fight.
"There is nothing more important she will ever do than lead the effort to make sure Donald Trump is never again near the Oval Office. And she will succeed.
