BELT UP!

The Queen, 92, snapped NOT wearing seatbelt on visit to WI a week after Prince Philip’s horror smash

Her Majesty was seen sitting in the back of a Range Rover without a belt near West Newton in Norfolk

THE Queen was not wearing a SEATBELT as she was driven to a meeting of the Sandringham branch of the Women's Institute this afternoon — exactly a week after Prince Philip's horror car crash.

Her Majesty was not buckled in as she sat in the back seat of a Range Rover for the journey from her home on the Sandringham estate to nearby West Newton village hall in Norfolk.

The 92-year-old monarch was criticised last week for not wearing a seatbelt as she was spotted behind the wheel of her Range Rover on a public road a day after Prince Philip's car crash near the Sandringham estate.

The Queen, who was dressed in a light blue winter coat and wore bright red lipstick and pearl earrings, was all smiles as she enjoyed a cup of tea at the WI meeting, where Pointless quizmaster Alexander Armstrong was guest speaker.

Her Majesty, who is known to be a superfan of the BBC quiz show, looked excited to be attending the meeting.

The 92-year-old monarch regularly watches the general knowledge game, according to Alexander, and looked delighted to be meeting the show's host this afternoon.

In an interview with Radio Times to mark the show's 1000th episode two years ago, Alexander said the Queen enjoyed watching the show before catching BBC One News at Six.

Queen Elizabeth joined the WI ladies for tea and cake, then listened to a speech by 48-year-old Alexander.

The Queen has attended the WI group's meetings since 1943 and took over as President from the Queen Mother, who in turn took over from Queen Mary.
