Inside the lives of Michael Jackson’s sex abuse accusers who dressed like him, toured with him and ‘slept in his bed’
THIS is a disturbing glimpse into the lives of former boy companions of Michael Jackson – who dressed like him, allegedly slept with him and have all accused the star of sex abuse.
One of the accusers claims he took part in a secret mock wedding aged nine in which he played the part of the singer’s child “bride”, court docs show.
Two of the men, James Safechuck and Wade Robson, have taken part in the new documentary Leaving Neverland which is screening at the Sundance film festival.
Their lawyers claim that Jackson shelled out nearly $200million in hush momey payments to the families of around 20 alleged victims.
The star's older sister LaToya claimed to have seen two such cheques in an interview in 1993.
Another accuser is Jordan Chandler – whose family was paid a reported $23m to drop allegations of molestation against the pop star.
The fourth man is Terry George – a British multi-millionaire property developer – who claims Jackson masturbated while on the phone to him when he was a young boy in 1979.
All four cases have striking similarities - let’s take a closer look at each case.
James Safechuck
James met Jackson aged nine when he appeared in Pespi commercial with the singer in 1987.
The former boy companion of Jacko – who was by the star’s side for much of his Bad tour – accused the singer of molesting him nearly 100 times in a lawsuit in 2015.
Court docs claim the pair regularly shared a bed while the powerful celebrity used code words for sex.
Safechuck’s lawyers claims he took part in a mock wedding at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch in which James played the part of the hit maker’s child “bride.”
The lawsuit claimed that Safechuck’s father was paid $1million in hush money after the alleged mock ceremony.
After developing a close bond with the young boy, who had started dressing like Jacko, the famous performer invited the child and his family on vacation in Hawaii in 1988.
James, then aged 10, joined Jackson on his Bad tour in June of that year where he travelled around the world with the superstar.
Despite having no relation to Jackson, there was no public controversy around pictures of a little boy holding hands with the grown man, then aged 30, while attending events in locations such as Paris and Tokyo.
Safechuck and Wade Robson, who launched the unsuccessful civil action against Jackson’s estate, both testified under oath that he had never acted inappropriately.
However since Jackson’s death in 2009 from a drug overdose, the pair both claim that the star was a serial sex offender.
The judge in their civil suit did not make any comment on the validity of their sex abuse claims but said that he believed the singer’s estate is not liable for any alleged crimes Jackson may have committed.
Wade Robson
Australian-born dancer and choreographer Wade, who has worked with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, claims Jacko molested him over a seven year period.
He says the abuse started when he was just seven-years-old at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch in California.
He alleges two Jackson companies were used to lure kids to the ranch known for its funfair rides, cinemas and zoo.
His lawyer Vince Finaldi said guests were ferried to the ranch in limos, given plane tickets and had food and accommodation paid for.
He added: “Neverland was nothing but a well-orchestrated trap.”
Robson denied he was abused in the King of Pop’s 2005 molestation trial but is now suing the firms in California.
Robson claims that Michael Jackson ran the most sophisticated child abuse operation the world has ever known.
Jordan Chandler
Jackson met 13-year-old Jordan in May 1992 and the pair quickly developed a close friendship.
The singer spent so much time at Chandler’s home it was even reported that they were the star’s “new adopted family.”
Jackson allegedly spent days at a time sleeping in Jordan’s bedroom at the house.
In 1993, the boy’s father questioned his son about his relationship with the entertainer and Jordan claimed that the star had touched his penis.
A police investigation was launched into Jackson which included a raid on Neverland and a strip search of the Billy Jean songwriter.
However, the allegations were dropped when Jackson paid the Chandler family a huge settlement reported to be around $23m.
Chandler has not spoken publicly since and the full details of the contract Jacko created have never been publicly revealed.
Jackson always vehemently denied any inappropriate behaviour with Jordan Chandler.
Terry George
The now multi-millionaire property developer met Jackson, then 21, when the exuberant schoolboy, then 13, asked the singer for an interview at his hotel in 1979.
After their chat, Jackson asked the teenager for his phone number and the pair kept in touch.
Terry told the that the entertainer would spend HOURS chatting to him on the phone during their calls.
The Brit claims the adult star would phone him three times a week at 9pm “on the dot.”
Terry said: “He’d often ask if my parents were in. And when I explained that they had gone out to play bingo he would relax.”
But a few months into their relationship, Terry claims Michael asked him if he was “masturbating” before then allegedly telling the schoolboy that he was pleasuring himself.
The property developer said: “Then, suddenly out of nowhere, he asked me if I masturbated and that if I did, did I use cream? I was puzzled and said no.
“I said I didn’t know what he meant.
“When I paused he said, ‘Would you believe that I am doing it right now?’ and I could hear down the line he was making strange noises.”
Terry said the incident made him fell “confused and uncomfortable.”

He claims he knew Michael could sense his unease. Terry says the next time he met the superstar face-to-face in 1981, Michael acted cold towards him.
The Brit said: “I’ve no idea why his attitude towards me had changed.”
Their phone relationship had ended the previous year when his parents line got cut off due to the enormous bill Terry had rung up from speaking to Michael.
Michael Jackson strongly denied all allegations of sexula abuse made against him.
