INCREDIBLE entries to the world’s biggest photography competition have been revealed today as the shortlist has been decided .
Now in its 12th year, the Sony World Photography Awards celebrates the finest contemporary photography from the past 12 months.

Called Huddle, it was incredibly cold, snowy, and windy day at Snow Hill in Antarctica last October Credit: Nadia Aly This year saw a record-breaking number of entries with more than 326,000 images entered into the four competitions.
This is the highest number to date.
The “professional” and “student” shortlisted entries will be announced on March 26
Overall winners from each of the four categories will be honoured on April 17.
More than 600 selected works selected by the judging panel will then go on show at Somerset House in London until May 6, with more than 30,000 visitors expected.
