COPS probing the disappearance of Libby Squire today seized computers from a home rented by a butcher.

A forensics van and cop cars arrived to search the home of Polish national Pawel Relowicz, 24, last night.

A recovery vehicle then arrived to take away a Vauxhall Astra as forensic officers conducting a finger tip search of the house on Raglan Street.

Forensic officers were today seen entering the terraced, two-storey home and removing a laptop, PC and a tablet.

Cops were also combing wasteland a mile away from the home as the search entered its seventh day.

The home, which he shares with his wife and two young sons, is less than a mile from where 21-year-old Hull student Libby was last seen sat on a park bench a week ago.

Cops confirmed this morning an unidentified 24-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of abduction in connection with Libby's disappearance.

He is currently still in custody and Libby's parents have been informed of the development.

Detective Superintendent Matt Hutchinson said this afternoon Libby's disappearance is still being treated as a missing person’s enquiry.

He added: "Our number one priority is to find Libby Squire and we are still conducting extensive searches and appealing for any information from the public.

My officers have been and will continue to work around the clock in our search for Libby.

“Last night a 24-year-old man from Hull was arrested on suspicion of abduction at an address on Raglan Street. He is still in custody.

“I can also confirm that we have recovered a car on Raglan Street which is currently forming just one part of our investigation.

“During the course of our investigations we have spoken to a taxi driver and another motorist who stopped to help Libby on the night. I want to make it clear that these two individuals are not suspects in this enquiry.

“My officers have been and will continue to work around the clock in our search for Libby."

Neighbours said Relowicz moved in to the property on Raglan Street, in Hull, around a year ago.

Administrator Matthew Shranz, 22, who lives on the same street, arrived home on the street at around 9.40pm last night and saw a cop and "crime scene investigator" talking with each other.

He added: "I went inside my house, had a shower and came back down and heard a lot of noise and a vehicle.

“The CSI Guy was dressed in a white suit. He was going in and out of the house with his kit.

“He was taking his kit in, including brushes to dust for fingerprints.

“By 11.30pm there were two CSI guys working together on the house.

“One was sorting the kit but the other came out with a black box with an orange tag on it and he had navy coloured clothes in his hands.”

Another man who lives near the couple said: “The police came here around 9.15pm. They said they were looking for the guy who lives at that house.

“They wanted access to the back."

Locals also said a police helicopter had been hovering above the street for hours on Wednesday afternoon – shortly before the cops pounced on the address.

VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE

A huge search was launched after Libby vanished with cops searching a river and pond close to her university home in Hull, East Yorks, but no trace has been found.

Bins, drains and gardens were also combed by officers but searches have so far proved fruitless.

Her parents, Lisa, 48, and Russell, 53, have now travelled from the family home in High Wycombe, Bucks, to Hull.

The couple visited her home on Wellesley Avenue in the city - close to the University - and walked around the area where she was last seen.

'SNATCH' FEARS

Desperate pals yesterday spoke of their fears the philosophy and religion student may have been snatched.

One said: “It’s always been in our minds. How could it not? The longer it goes on the more we are worrying.

"The police have searched the local river, the pond, they've searched gardens, bins, drains and she's still nowhere to be seen."

Friend Lauren Goodman said: “Libby has always got to a phone or made sure someone knows she is safe. To not hear from her at all is completely not like her.”

Another pal Chloe Wise said: "Libby is still out there somewhere. Please if you know anything at all don’t hesitate to contact police."

'BLOOD-CURDLING SCREAMS'

It comes after a horrified neighbour revealed she heard a woman’s "blood-curdling" screams at 12.30am last Friday.

The resident said the terrified high-pitched cry was loud enough to make her sit up in bed and yell "oh my god".

Just 45 minutes earlier, Libby was captured on CCTV 100 yards away sat on a bench near her student digs.

She had earlier been put in a taxi by pals after she was turned away from the Welly Club at 11pm on Thursday.

She was then seen staggering and falling over outside her house.

Libby was wearing a black long sleeved top, leather jacket and black denim skirt with lace and had been drinking heavily.

Police found lip gloss, a screwdriver and a hammer in a hedge close to where she was last seen but it was not known if they are connected to the case.
