Moment ex-teacher mum-of-two turned coke-addled county lines drug dealer is caught by cops after three months on the run

Footage shows mum-of-two Angela Davey, 38, getting arrested by cops in North London

THIS is the moment a respected history teacher who became a “county lines” cocaine dealer was arrested after going on the run for three months.

Footage obtained by The Sun Online shows Angela Davey, 38, in handcuffs after she was apprehended by cops in Camden, North London, last Thursday.

The mum-of-two was wearing a black beanie and large grey scarf and was asked by cops: “So you know that you’re wanted, don’t you?”
Angela replied: “Yeah.”

She admitted dealing cocaine at a hearing at Norwich Crown Court in October and been on the force's most wanted list since November.

A nationwide manhunt was launched and she was eventually spotted by eagle-eyed Erhan Yildiran, 31, who recognised her after seeing her mugshot in the paper.

She was making an effort to hide her appearance; she was wearing a woolly hat and a really thick scarf.

He told The Sun Online: “I was reading an article and noticed a picture of a woman wanted in connection with county lines drug dealing.

“I read that she was possibly in London but didn’t think that much of it at the time.

“Later that day I was in Camden Market and my attention was drawn to a female.

“As she crossed the road I got a closer look and identified her as being Angela Davey.

HEAD DOWN

“She was keeping her head down which was odd and when I went in for a closer look, I realised it was her and dialled 999."

Erhan, who manages local security firm LabTech, added: "I told the police where I was and I said I am following a wanted person I had read about in the papers.

“She went to leave the area but the market security team and myself brought her into the security office.

“A few minutes later the police attended and she confirmed she was the wanted lady in question.

“Police arrested her and they were a bit surprised and were grateful that I spotted her.”

HANDS UP

Erhan added: “They did their checks on her and she put her hands up to be Angela and that was the end of it.”

Angela appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court last week in connection with breaching a court order and also for failing to appear at Norwich Crown Court. She was remanded in custody until February 8.

The former teacher's decline came to light when a police mugshot from February last year emerged showing her drug-ravaged features.

It paints an entirely different picture to one posted on Facebook less than a year earlier showing her smiling and fresh-faced.

Davey won a scholarship to the £14,562-a-year Norwich High School for Girls and graduated from university with a history degree.

She then bought a house with her husband and lived there with her two children while teaching at a school for children with special educational needs.

But her life took a turn for the worse after her marriage broke down and she is believed to have turned to drugs after embarking on a relationship with a man she met on Tinder.
