It comes a day after Jeremy Corbyn stunned Westminster by saying by saying Ms Begum should be allowed to return to the UK.

Separately yesterday it emerged Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell claimed in 2014 that Brits who fought for the Israeli state against Palestine should lose their citizenship.

Mr Akunjee, who has been representing Ms Begum and her family over her attempt to return to the UK, has sparked outrage over a string of comments.

Earlier this week he attacked Britain for denying Ms Begum rights that were given to Nazi war criminals.

He also complained that Ms Begum was traumatised by her treatment and compared her mental state to soldiers “in shellshock” during the First World War.

The controversial lawyer has also said Mrs May had “Nazi blood in her veins” and has urged Muslims not to cooperate with the Government’s anti-extremism Prevent programme.

Mr Akunjee previously called for former Home Secretary to be sent to a “concentration camp”.

In an interview with The Times earlier this week Mr Akunjee said: “The Nazis had the Nuremberg trials.

They were given due process. This girl was a victim when she went out there at 15 years old.

“Our politicians are saying that she should be denied protections and due process that would have been granted to Nazis.”

Labour declined to comment.

Mr McDonnell’s comments came in a letter to then Home Secretary Theresa May.

He said she should censure Brits serving in the Israeli Defence Force (IDF).

A Labour party spokesman explained that the call came during the height of “barbaric bombing and attacks on Gaza where hundreds of Palestinian men, women and children were being killed”.
