PARANOID Kim Jong-un's jogging bodyguards are back in action ahead of the North Korean leader's second summit with Donald Trump.
Kim is due to meet the US president in Vietnam today to discuss the future of the Asian nation's controversial nuclear weapons programme.
And where Kim goes his highly-trained team of elite bodyguards are never far away - as these amazing photographs show.
Around a dozen minders in dark suits were seen jogging along either side of the leader's limo as it drove through Hanoi.
His suit-clad security team sprung into action to surround the limo on all sides to ensure their leader was kept safe.
The high-profile bodyguards formed a ring around him with the protective perimeter having a full 360-degree view.
In advance of Kim were up to five bodyguards including the director of the Main Office of Adjutants.
Alongside him were between four to six minders, with two to three on his right and left.
MARTIAL ARTS EXPERTS
Bringing up the rear were four to five highly-trained bodyguards while others followed in an armoured 4x4.
The security officials are among the only North Koreans permitted to carry loaded guns near the rogue state's leader.
Despite carrying firearms, the bodyguards' main defence for Kim are their highly-trained observational skills.
Their sole job is to "neutralise" threats to their leader using any means at their disposal.
They are chosen from Korean People's Army (KPA) recruits doing their national service conscription.
Criteria for selection includes being approximately the same height as their Kim.
They must also have top level skills such as marksmanship and martial arts.
The bodyguards use a series of spoken passwords and code phrases to communicate in the field, and those running alongside Kim's limo are part of a department called Central Party Office #6.
Many are related to the Kim family, or to other elite North Korean families in Kim's social circle.
