Husband who killed his pregnant wife’s ‘rapist’ is arrested for MURDER despite saving her from brutal attack

A HUSBAND who killed an armed intruder after catching him trying to rape his pregnant wife has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to reports.
He grabbed the alleged sex fiend's machete and hacked him repeatedly until he ran outside where he collapsed and bled to death.
The dead man is said to have broken into a couple's home and sexually assaulted a woman who is five months pregnant.
Her husband heard her screams, came running from another room and tackled the intruder, according to reports in South Africa.
He died a short distance from the house in Tongaat, north of Durban.
A private police force called Reaction Unit SA posted details of the bloody attack online, including graphic photos of the man's corpse and a large weapon known locally as a panga.
It said its officers were called at 11am on Monday and arrived to find the rape suspect bleeding in a patch of grass.
Reaction Unit spokesman Prem Balram said: "Upon arrival the suspect was found lying outside the home bleeding excessively from injuries to his head and arms.
"It was established that the suspect had entered a residence armed with a panga and attempted to rape a woman who is five months pregnant.
"Her husband was in one of the bedrooms and went to his wife’s aid when he heard her screaming for help.
"When he found the suspect attempting to rape his wife he grabbed the suspect’s panga and repeatedly hacked him with it. "The seriously injured suspect stumbled out of the home and collapsed outside."

KwaZulu-Natal Police spokesman Lt-Col Thulani Zwane confirmed the incident.
He said the husband was placed under arrest pending an investigation.
