Paul Chuckle reveals late brother Barry visited him in his dreams to ‘tell me there’s an afterlife’
CHUCKLEBROTHER Paul has revealed his late brother Barry visited him in his dreams to say "there's an afterlife".
Barry, the older half of the comic duo, died last August aged 73, following a battle with cancer.
But on one of his "walks" in his dreams, Barry was right beside him.
Paul said: "He [Barry] had never been in my dreams before, very rarely.
'I WAS RIGHT'
"It wouldn’t be me and him doing something, but you know how in dreams you are walking around, and you bump into people – wherever I’m going, he’d always be beside me.
"And I think that’s his way of coming back to tell me I was right, there is an afterlife.’
Veteran entertainer Barry starred alongside best pal and brother Paul as one half of the Chuckle Brothers in the BBC comedy show ChuckleVision.
The series ran for 21 seasons from 1987 to 2009.
Shortly before his death, the pair's eldest brother Jimmy Patton revealed how Barry was "was gulping for air" and "in a very bad way".
But even after his death, Paul claimed Barry saved a girl's life - bringing her out of a coma.
Paul said the eight-year-old girl's health deteriorated after contracting meningitis and her life support had been due to be turned off.
But she never missed his hit TV show so in a last desperate bid, her mum played her the theme tune.
After a few minutes the girl opened her eyes and asked: “Is it on mummy?”
