THE body of a young mum has been found dismembered in a cave notorious for its use in Satanic rituals, according to reports.
Sharoom Leon Jara, 23, was discovered in a cave in the district of El Agustino in the western Peruvian province of Lima after she mysteriously went missing last week.
She had reportedly been cut into pieces and burned and her boyfriend has confessed to the crime, according to .
Leon Jara went missing on March 12 when she went to meet her cousin and boyfriend, 24-year-old Nick Brayan Leon Chumpitaz.
The victim, who has a young son from a previous relationship, had not been to collect her child in two days and the father grew concerned.
He told the victim’s sister Mayra and she went to confront Leon Chumpitaz.
Mayra had Leon Jara’s phone and knew that her boyfriend was the last person to call her before she went missing.
According to local media, she found him with scratches over his face but he claimed that he had not seen the victim since they had a row at around 11pm on March 12.
The victim’s body has now been found in a cave and grieving family members have accused Leon Chumpitaz of being involved, it is reported.
They claim that they found dark and threatening messages on Leon Jara’s phone that were sent by the suspect.
Leon Chumpitaz has since been arrested for the murder and a former girlfriend claimed that he once threatened her near the cave where Leon Jara was found a few years ago.
The investigation is ongoing.
