the idea was to show "that strong women can be empowered to move on — it's OK to be happy again".
She added: "I wanted a way to close a chapter in my life my way, and celebrate finally making it official.
"We honestly didn't realise this would go so viral. I think everyone is shocked and amused that someone actually stepped out of the normal and did something bold."
After everything, I'm stronger and I'm happy with my life
Marie Lollis
Marie said her favourite picture is the one of her throwing her head back in laughter while holding a wine glass that reads "Finally divorced, boy bye".
The photos became an instant hit on social media, with tens of thousands of likes and shares.
One Twitter user said: "Insanely powerful vibes coming from this divorce photo shoot".
Marie said several women have since contacted her to say they were inspired to leave their bad relationships after seeing her photos.
Quinton — described by Marie as "a good man" turned bad by drugs — was in and out of prison during the troubled marriage and is currently awaiting trial on further charges.
Now with a new partner, she added: "After everything, I'm stronger and I'm happy with my life.
"I'm blessed with a good man and family and close friends."
Marie came up with the idea to show 'it's OK to be happy again'
