Outrage as idiot films herself pretending to find Madeleine McCann while on holiday in Portugal
A SICK joker has provoked outrage after posting a video pretending to find Madeleine McCann while on holiday in Portugal.
Hafsa from London tweeted that Netflix didn't want to add her 'search' to their documentary about the missing girl.
Madeleine McCann went missing in 2007 while on holiday with her family in Portugal days before her fourth birthday.
She has not been found and no one knows if she is dead or alive.
As of 2016, over 8,000 potential sightings have been recorded in 101 different countries and territories, but nearly all of them have been dropped as leads.
Authorities are hopeful that social media could help find Maddie, using her distinctive eyes to examine photographs on Facebook.
TWISTED JOKE
But a new Netflix docu-series about her disappearance claims Madeleine is still alive and her case will be solved.
Twitter users are now outraged as an idiot filmed a Snapchat video in Portugal, pretending to find Maddie, who would now be 16 years old.
Hafsa posted the video on Sunday with the caption: "Find it funny how @NetflixUK didn’t want to add my search for Madeleine on the 'The Disappearance Of Madeleine McCann'".
In the video, the holiday-maker says: "arrived at Portugal and I have took it upon myself to look for Madeleine McCann... SHE'S COMING HOME".
'WE'RE ABOUT TO BE RICH'
The video then shows the passenger pointing to a tuktuk with a female driver and her fellow passengers can be heard saying "We’re about to be rich, there she is".
They then encourage their own driver to catch up with the woman before they start yelling "Oi, Maddie".
When the car pulls up alongside, she questions the startled woman saying "Oh my god what happened to you? You’re not Portuguese love, you're Maddie, you’re not from here".
They then drive off while calling the woman in the tuktuk a "b***h".
TWITTER OUTRAGE
The disrespectful footage has been retweeted over 1,900 times and has amassed more than 5,000 likes.
But Twitter users are condemning the video, with one posting: "The best thing about this video was when it ended".
Laura discredited the tweet, writing: "She didn't even look like Maddie that girl has brown hair and she's older than 15. Maddie would be 15 and blonde damnnn".
While Marly wrote, disappointed: "Have some respect... a girl is still missing".
And Valerie raged: "No Madeleine McCann jokes will be tolerated ever. Honestly actually makes my blood boil."
Joe added: "Can't be the only one who watched this with a completely straight face the whole way through".
Although there were some twisted Twitter users who didn't seem to take issue with the video and said people should take it as a joke.
Lady K wrote: "Nah this is funny everyone in the replies can F off".
And Debs replied: "I don't know who's offended you in this life but y'all need to lighten up".
