Prince George and Mia Tindall the best of friends as cheeky Princess Charlotte enjoys the dodgems at horse trials

The five-year-old cousins compared each other's height while Zara Tindall took part in the Burnham Market Horse Trials in Norfolk

PRINCE George and Mia Tindall share a secret joke as Princess Charlotte enjoys the dodgems at the Burnham Market Horse Trials in Norfolk.

The two five-year-olds appeared to square up and compared their heights while laughing.

wore a khaki green fleece jumper, dark jeans and a pair of black and white Nike trainers.

His cousin Mia opted for a more stylish bright purple puffer jacket, silver sequin-embellished jeans and a white baseball cap with a pink heart design.

While the pair played games, Princess Charlotte, three, was full of laughs as she went for a spin on the dodgems.

Charlotte wore a waterproof jacket, tartan skirt and black tights while she squealed with delight.

Kate, 37, made sure to keep a close eye on her only daughter as she wore tight black jeans and a Barbour quilted jacket.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Tindalls spent the day watching Zara, a former silver medal Olympian, compete in the trials on Friday.

The 37-year-old triumphed and finished in third and fifth in her events after she fell from her horse last year.

Zara is the only daughter to Princess Anne, who is the Queen’s second child.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Mia are three of the Queen’s great-grandchildren – making them second cousins.

During the family day out, Mia was picked up by Prince William to get a better view of the trials.

The Duke dressed down with trainers, a flat cap and green anorak.

Princess Charlotte rode on the shoulders of her mum and George was on the shoulders of his uncle Mike Tindall.

George carried a toy sword along as the former England rugby star followed Zara across the parkland during the trials.

The trials are a popular family event and include a bouncy castle and circus workshops for children.

An onlooker said: “They were just like any other family, enjoying a day out and having a lovely time. There were no tantrums thrown by the kids and they all seemed very down to earth.

“A few people noticed them, but generally everyone just carried on as normal.”
