The Ford Fiesta was spotted abandoned between Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, yesterday morning.

British Transport Police officers were called to remove the car after it brought services to a halt on the C2C line.

C2C tweeted: “Services on the Tilbury Loop are currently being disrupted due to a car being abandoned on a level crossing.

“Arrangements are being made for the vehicle’s removal, sorry if this affects you.”

Ryan Prater, 19, from Corringham, Essex, was charged with driving without insurance and without a valid MoT.
