MEGHAN Markle bought Kate Middleton a dream journal for her birthday when they first met, before the Fab Four entered into a "feud".
The duchesses started their friendship two years ago with gifts and praises, but the pair have recently veered away from each other alongside their respective husbands.
Dubbed the 'Fab Four', Prince William, Kate, Prince Harry and Meghan are reported to have been ensconced in a dispute, especially since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the decision to move away from the Cambridges into Frogmore Cottage.
But it seems the relationships between the four haven't always been so fraught, with the two women exchanging thoughtful gifts with each other early in their friendship.
When they first met, Meghan gifted her sister-in-law-to-be a dream journal for her birthday, .
Plus in 2018, Meghan gave Kate a gold friendship bracelet at her May vows, a material sign of their closeness.
FAB FOUR'S 'FEUD'
This revelation comes as Kate and William sat down with expectant parents Meghan and Harry in an attempt to resolve the Fab Four "feud" over the weekend, it has been claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly dropped into the mum and dad-to-be's new home at Frogmore Cottage at Windsor on Easter Sunday.
William and Kate, both 37, even brought housewarming gifts, as they visited the recently renovated cottage after Meghan, who is on maternity leave, missed the Easter Sunday service at St George's Chapel.
The sitdown comes after reports the brothers are barely talking to each other - with fears their divisions could "expand rapidly".
The showdown, which only lasted half an hour, reportedly saw the foursome enjoy tea together.
A source told : "They wanted to be supportive and see how she is doing. It was a lovely afternoon."
RESOLVING THE ROW
A friend also told the publication the expectant couple had "settled in" to their new home ahead of the impending birth of their baby.
They said: "It’s truly a lovely home and they have done such a great job with the space. So much light and positive energy.
"I couldn’t think of a better place to start a family."
ITV Royal editor Chris Ship added this morning that the meeting "didn't last very long" but said it had been "significant" the couples sat down to talk.
He said: "They brought around some house warming presents. Is that a sign they are trying to patch things up?"
He later said it was not clear if the Sunday meeting had resolved the matter between the couples.
Meghan and Harry are said to be just days away from becoming parents, with the world waiting for news of the arrival of Baby Sussex.
'DESPERATE TO AVOID' WILLIAM
The sitdown comes after reports claimed Prince Harry had been "desperate to avoid" his brother at the Easter church service.
The efforts to reconnect could be down to Kate, with the claiming the mum-of-three advised Harry to extend William an "olive branch".
A royal insider claimed: "If Harry and Meghan decide to live in Africa for months at a time, the divisions could expand rapidly.
"The Sussexes are intent on forging their own path, apart from the constraints they feel restrict the Cambridges."
And Kate's strong connection with brother-in-law Harry was reaffirmed yesterday as the pair attended the Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey yesterday.
With Prince William in New Zealand and Meghan "nesting" ahead of giving birth, the pair represented the royal family along with the Duke of Gloucester at the ceremony.
And body language expert Judi James revealed that it appears Kate brings out Harry's "fun side" and their rapport is "firmly in place."
She told Fabulous Digital: "Since Kate first married William she has always shown very strong bonds of fun and good humour with her brother-in-law Harry and it's clear from their surprise appearance together that rapport is still firmly in place.
";Harry’s life roles might have changed, along with his responsibilities as a husband and father-to-be, but its obvious from his body language here that the more childlike sense of fun is still in place."
It comes as a royal biographer claimed the rift between the pair may have stemmed from just one comment when Harry started dating former actress Meghan.
Author Katie Nicholl, who recently published a book looking in-depth at the 34-year-old Harry's relationship with the American actress, said that the prince took things “badly” when William showed concern over the budding romance.
Speaking to Fox News, she said: "William was concerned about how quickly the relationship had moved and wanted to make sure that Harry was making the right decision."
