Brazen louts jailed for snorting line of white powder in front of kids at McDonald’s
The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed how the two men caused outrage as a parent caught them in the act at the Kilmarnock restaurant
TWO brazen yobs were yesterday sentenced to six months in prison each for snorting 'drugs' in a McDonald’s packed with children.
Craig Scoular, 38, and David McDowall, 43, pleaded guilty to breach of the peace at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court after a shocked parent caught them.

The pair caused outrage when mum-of-two Chloe McCree, 26, photographed them bent over a table in the family restaurant with paraphernalia and the white powder in clear view.
The white substance is thought to have been a controlled drug.
staff at the fast food restaurant could be heard shouting, “What are you doing? There’s kids in here” as the men unabashedly refused to budge from the table.
Procurator Fiscal depute Saud Hassan today showed the court clips from 10-minute long CCTV footage of inside the McDonald’s restaurant in Armour Street, Kilmarnock, at around 8.30pm on Friday March 29.
Scoular and McDowall could be seen sitting in a booth beside the glass entrance to the restaurant, with children of pre-school age passing them and standing close to them.
The two men can be seen fumbling with something, before Scoular pulls up a leaflet and holds it out behind them - in a futile attempt to hide what they are doing.
However, moments later a female member of staff approaches the two and could be seen moving her arms, while concerned parents moved their children away.
The men stayed put despite a man wearing a baseball cap - thought to be a member of the public in the restaurant with his teenage son - also approaching them and asking them to leave.
Scoular eventually made his way to the door, and a minute or so later McDowall followed, but the pair could be seen exchanging words with the staff and man in a baseball cap before the footage ended.
The on Sunday March 29 and were remanded in custody for breaching licence conditions until their appearance in court today.
Defence solicitor John McCluskey told the court: “Both men are embarrassed by the situation as well as the media coverage.
“Both of them have little recollection of what happened, they were released from a prison sentence a week before this incident.”
Sentencing the pair, Sheriff Hanlon said: “This was a blatant and very public offence which took place when families were in a family restaurant and as could be seen in the video it was in front of pre-school age children.”
Both men were sentenced to six months imprisonment, to be served concurrently with outstanding sentences.
