A GREAT-gran was shocked when a scratchcard she bought spelt out the C-word.
Cath Cutts, 69, spotted the X-rated word in the circled bonus letters of the £3 Triple Cashword game.
Cath, who spends £15-a-week on scratchcards, said: “I was sat with a fag in my gob and couldn’t believe my eyes. Then I saw the funny side.
“Some may take offence but I have been called far worse.”
Cath, of Mexborough, South Yorks, alerted Lottery operator Camelot. She added: “I told them it spelt out the word c***. The man on the phone said the bonus letters were picked at random but I believe someone has done that deliberately.”
In the game, players can win up to £300,000 by using 18 letters to complete words in a grid. They can triple their winnings if a completed word contains one of the four bonus letters.
A Camelot spokesperson apologised but said: “We’d like to assure the player the letters are chosen entirely at random and this is an unfortunate but completely unintended outcome.
Cath’s scratchcard was not a winner — but she plans to frame it on her wall.
