Terror group Hamas thank Jeremy Corbyn for solidarity message at pro-Palestinian rally
PALESTINIAN terror group Hamas heaped praise on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
They thanked the arch leftie for a solidarity message he gave to a pro-Palestinian rally at the weekend.
In an extraordinary step that sparked fury, Hamas said it received his words with “great respect and appreciation”. And it praised his “moral position”.
Israeli opposition leaders said the statement showed Mr Corbyn was “on the side of terrorism”.
More than 4,000 people marched in London last weekend to recognise Nakba Day — which marks the forced displacement of Palestinians during the war with Israel in 1948. The Labour leader didn’t address the event but sent a message to marchers calling on ministers to condemn the killing of protesters in Gaza.
Hamas responded by saying Mr Corbyn was “worthy of all praise and thanks”.
But Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid raged: “If Hamas is thanking you then you’re on the side of terrorism.”

Mr Corbyn, 69, once called Hamas and Hezbollah “friends” — but later admitted he shouldn’t have used the term.
He was slammed last year after it emerged he attended a wreath laying ceremony near graves of terrorists involved in the Munich Olympics massacre of 1972.
A Labour spokesman said: “Jeremy has a long record of solidarity with the Palestinian people.”
