As the day progressed, Scarlett struggled to breath and her mum noticed she was using her inhaler an “awful lot” when she picked her up from school.

The 39-year-old noticed Scarlett’s condition get worse after taking her sister Ebony, 9, to get her youngest daughter Amber, 3, from nursery.

Claire told MEN: “She was in a state of panic. (The inhaler) didn't seem to be working.”

'IT WAS SO DRAMATIC'

Scarlett then collapsed outside the health centre before saying to her mum “don’t let me die” as she turned a blue, grey colour.
