She agreed to be a guest after she was accused of posting a picture of someone else’s child on Facebook.

Chloe said: “I went on to get all the stuff over with. I was absolutely gobsmacked when I didn’t.

“Half of my friends and family didn’t want to know me. I fell out with my own mum at some point.”

BOMBARDED WITH ABUSE

Reflecting on why she attempted suicide, she said: “It was a mixture of the abuse and the show. I couldn't go down the street without being threatened.”

Jeremy Kyle has been axed by ITV bosses after it emerged guest Steve Dymond, 63, took an overdose just days after failing a love rat lie detector on air.

Questions have now been raised over the level of aftercare given to guests once they are away from the TV cameras and whether show bosses could have done more.

Chloe said she did get some help, but claims it wasn’t enough to help her cope.

NO SUPPORT

She explained: "They offered me counselling, two private sessions.

“They [producers] would ring me once in a blue moon to see if I'm alright. This happened twice, three times.”

She added: "The show could have done more, definitely. My mental health deteriorated."

Before filming,  Chloe said she was a happy teenager, who would go on nights out every other weekend.

However, she has since been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and PTSD and says she will only feel safe going to the shops if she has a dog with her.

THE SHOW IS OVER

Chloe has welcomed the decision to remove the show from air.

"At least no one else has to go through it,” she said.

“Don't get me wrong, it has helped people with drug [addictions] and DNA [tests].
“Stuff like this messes with people’s lives.”

She added: “There are no clips on YouTube, which is a relief.

“Maybe I can start my life again without all this childish nonsense.”

ITV declined to comment on Chloe's case.

After the show was suspended, the broadcaster previously said: "Throughout filming the participants are supported by the guest welfare team in the studios during the recording phase of their show.

After filming has ended all guests are seen by a member of the guest welfare team to ensure they are feeling calm and emotionally settled before any participant leaves to travel home.
