A JEALOUS illegal migrant who believed his wife was having an affair installed CCTV at home before murdering her.
Muhammad Javed, 59, battered and slashed Saeeda Hussain, 54, with a hammer and machete.
The jobless dad of five then turned himself in at his local police station in Ilford, East London.
Javed, who claims to have 20 years’ experience in the Pakistan Air Force, was convicted of murder by an Old Bailey jury.
They heard he regularly beat Saeeda but she did not tell cops for fear of him being deported.
The couple had been married for thirty years but “by February last year, the defendant and his wife slept in separate rooms,” said Julian Evans, prosecuting.
“Mr Javed had behaved in a controlling and coercive manner towards his wife over a period of many years,” Mr Evans said.
He added: “The defendant had suspected that his wife was having an affair behind his back and the prosecution say the suspicions of his were entirely without merit.
“These suspicions lead to him installing CCTV cameras at their home address to monitor her behaviour.

“He attacked her with a hammer and a machete and in doing so he caused a large number of wounds to her face and head.
“There were at least 46 separate impacts from the bladed weapon and seven impacts from the hammer.”
Javed faces a life term when sentenced in June.
