First pic of university graduate, 28, stabbed to death outside Edinburgh Castle in broad daylight
THIS is the first picture of the man knifed to death outside Edinburgh Castle yesterday.
Paul Smith, 28, was stabbed in a street just yards from the world famous tourist attraction.
Cops raced to Johnston Terrace at 1.50pm but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police today released a photo of the stab victim smiling as he graduated from university.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man has been charged with his murder.
He's expected to appear in court on June 3.
Detective Inspector Bob Campbell from Edinburgh’s Criminal Investigations Department said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Smith and we have specialist officers providing them with support at this time.
“We are satisfied that this was an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.”
